Telling the story of America through powerful lyrics and emotion
As a Korean creator exploring international themes through music,
I wanted to try something different—telling the story of American history not through textbooks, but through lyrics.
This project is an original ballad that compresses centuries of historical moments into a 3-minute emotional journey.
From Jefferson’s pen to MLK’s dream
The lyrics follow a chronological path:
- Thomas Jefferson writing about liberty in 1776
- George Washington stepping away from power
- Abraham Lincoln standing for unity
- Harriet Tubman leading people to freedom
- Franklin D. Roosevelt guiding through the Great Depression
- Martin Luther King Jr. awakening a movement with his dream
- John F. Kennedy reaching for the stars
- Rosa Parks refusing to stand, so the world could move
Each figure becomes more than history—they become verses, melodies, and echoes of what built a nation.
Music makes memory
Instead of dry facts, this song delivers emotion.
It’s about courage, conflict, quiet resistance, and leadership.
It ends not with the past, but with us—the next voices to be written into history.
Through music, I want to remind people that stories never end.
They evolve—with every word, every chord, and every person listening.
